Description:

The building of museum is historical and architectural monument. In landed-tax books the records about this house began from 1858. At the end of ղ – beginning of XX centuries Paliy and Parasca Harouk lived here. Ivan Franko, Mykhaylo Hrushevskiy, Volodymyr Gnatiyk, who rested in Kryvorivnya and collected ethnographic materials, often came to Harouks. In 1964 House-Grazhda was used during filming of the «Shadows of Forgotten Forefathers» movie. From 1984 House-Grazhda stood empty. In 1993 the building was restored and in a year the museum was opened here within the First Hutsul world congress. The following exhibitions have been organized in the museum: photo-exhibition of Lida Sukhy from the Rochester «Look on Kryvorivnya by foreign guests»; photo-exhibition of Vasyl’ Kobyliuk «Verkhovynschyna in lens»; «Wonderful and eternal art» pictures exhibition from the museum funds.

Short description of the object accessibility:

The way to the museum is not convenient, just earth path that leads down from a hill. The entrance to the museum yard has high threshold (35 cm). The museum building entrance has also high threshold (15 cm); the thresholds between the museum rooms are also very high.
